Cheaper material countertops like wood and laminate have a much higher chance of cracking. It is possible to repair cracks but it could end up looking different than the rest of your countertop.
• Burns and stains – Some stains are almost impossible to take out. Red wine for example can end up staining your kitchen countertop for life. If you don’t like having that stain on your countertop, it’s a good idea to get it replaced. Some countertops like granite and quartz have really good stain resistance.
