A bright kitchen can really showcase everything that you have to offer. Here are a few kitchen tips to brighten up your kitchen.

Natural Light – Of course, nothing beats natural sunshine. Get lighter curtains or take them off altogether. Keep the windows open. If you don’t have a window, talk to a contractor about getting one installed. You can even look into getting a skylight to really maximize the natural light in your kitchen.

Lighter finishes – While a dark blue or black finish on cabinets or counters can look amazing if done right, they also might have a darkening effect on your kitchen. If you want to brighten up your kitchen, it might be time for nice white or light blue cabinets to really let the light come in.

Light fixtures – Obviously, some artificial lights would also brighten up your kitchen. Don’t be afraid to play around with this, one light in the center of your kitchen doesn’t need to be the only one. You can add lights under cabinets or countertops. Lights can be added on top of your cabinet or over your island. There are so many different ways to add light fixtures. You can even just enhance your current light fixture or add LED bulbs!
